About Athena

Athena Kopulos (she/her) is a Greek-American singer, actor, and dancer. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, she still calls the best city in the world home today. Chicago credits include Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Folks Operetta, and BrightSide Theatre.

Athena is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, where she was awarded the Catherine Feltus Preston Scholarship for innovation in the arts. She is currently part of the work-study program at Visceral Dance Center and training in aerial arts at the Actors Gymnasium. Outside of performing, Athena is a custom cookie decorator and dance teacher who enjoys watching hockey and napping with her cat.

From musicals to Shakespeare to new work, Athena is a lover of the collaborative process and of dissecting text. She does theatre because it creates a more empathetic world, and a more empathetic world is a kinder and better world.
